Plane crash near McCall Baptist Church leaves two in wreckage
MCCALL, idaho — A plane crashed in McCall on June 12th at 9:50 a.m.
The crash occurred near the McCall Baptist Church playground area along with the City of McCall property.
At the time of the crash, two people occupied the Cessna R182 aircraft with tail number N3138C. As reported by the City of McCall website, the aviator piloting the aircraft was experienced.
Observers from the Sawtooth Flying Service and the Smokejumper Base saw the plane's failure to maintain altitude, and once they couldn't see it in the sky anymore, rushed to dial 911.
The pilot and passenger were taken to St. Luke's McCall, then transported via helicopter to a hospital in Boise Idaho after the initial assessment.
