How To Get The Duality Dungeon Exotic Ship

The Mandate of Strength Exotic ship is a unique item that can only be obtained through the Duality dungeon in Destiny 2, a new activity in Season 17.

The new Exotic ship in Destiny 2 is called the Mandate of Strength, and it can only be unlocked by completing the Duality dungeon activity. Exotic ships are vanity items that don't typically serve a purpose in the game other than to show off a cool collectible as fireteams remain in orbit, awaiting the destination selection of the team leader. However, what separates the Mandate of Strength from many other Exotic ships is that, while it is part of the deluxe edition of The Witch Queen expansion, it's an item that players can unlock in-game rather than having to pay for it with additional silver.

Specifically, the Mandate of Strength can only be unlocked by completing the Master Thouhtstealer Triumph. For those who haven't unlocked the Heartshadow Exotic Sword in Destiny 2 yet, completing this Triumph will also increase the drop rate of the sword until it has been earned. Although the final encounter of Duality is farmable, the drop rate for the Exotic sword is low, so completing the Master Thoughtstealer Triumph will help accomplish multiple things in-game. In addition to the Mandate of Strength ship and the Exotic sword, this is also one of the Triumphs needed to earn the Discerptor title.

Master Thoughtstealer can only be achieved by completing the Duality dungeon on Master difficulty, whether it's with a fireteam or solo. The Master difficulty of the dungeon increases the Power Level of all enemies, and it's recommended that Guardians are at least 1590 before attempting this version of the activity. Additionally, before hopping into the Master option, players should know how to complete the Duality dungeon in Destiny 2 with 100% certainty as new elements are introduced on top of the increase in difficulty.

How To Complete The Master Thoughtstealer Triumph In Destiny 2

First and foremost, the Master version of Duality has Barrier and Unstoppable Champions, as well as Match Game. Match Game requires players to use the same energy type of damage that the enemy shields are in order to break them. Specifically, Void shields will be protecting the Bell Keepers, so players will need to make sure that have a weapon that can break them quickly in their inventory. By working together with a full fire team, Guardians can mix and match their weapons with one another to complement strengths and avoid weaknesses.

While the best Solar 3.0 builds in Destiny 2 will be great for the final encounter, players should consider using Stasis and Void abilities earlier on to help deal with the immense amount of enemies in the first and second encounters. Additionally, armor mods like Classy Restoration, Armor of the Dying Star, and Withering Heat are great options for survivability and defeating Champions. Lastly, Linear Fusion Rifles are best for boss DPS, similar to the standard version of the dungeon itself. Once the final boss is cleared, the Master Thoughtstealer and Duality Exotic Ship can be claimed from the Triumph menu.
